Abstract Format
Abstracts should conform to the following format requirements:
1) Abstract should be within 600 words.
2) Abstract should include title, author's name, affiliations, research problems or hypothesis, data and methods, and tentative conclusions.
3) Document should be no more than one page.
INTRODUCTION
REVES is an international research network dedicated to promoting health expectancy as a critical metric of population health around the world.
The REVES network was set up in 1989 by the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM, Montpellier), the Social Affairs Council, Quebec, Canada, and the Center for Demographic Studies, Durham, North Carolina, United States. REVES now includes over 150 scientists and policy makers representing 30 countries worldwide as well as a wide range of professional disciplines including demography, epidemiology, gerontology, sociology, psychology, public health, health economics, medicine, biology and statistics. THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE REVES NETWORK ARE TO:
1 ) Undertake research and disseminate findings for the comparison and interpretation of health expectancies both cross-nationally and over time;
2 ) Promote the use of health expectancy for public policy and planning and for the evaluation of public health programs;
3 ) Research and promote the use of standardized methods for collection of underlying health and disability data and for calculation of health expectancies.
REVES 2020 will be held May 25 - 28, 2020 in Hangzhou, China, at the “Zijingang Campus” at Zhejiang University. The call for abstracts will be out around the third week of December and abstracts will be due around the end of January.
